A homemade spaghetti recipe is something I have been thinking about trying for a while. Homemade chicken alfredo is one of my favorite foods and I have oft thought of trying to perfect spaghetti.
Homemade spaghetti sauce recipe can have a number of different variables. There are multiple choices at any grocery store you go to. Mine is relatively standard but feel free to add additional vegetables or remove the meat from this recipe.
I am a fan of thick vegetables in my spaghetti sauce, but am not a fan of mushrooms. Therefor, I start my sauce off with thick cut peppers, onions and fresh garlic and then add my sauces and seasonings. I did add a tablespoon of sugar to sweeten up a little bit. If I’m being honest, I was expecting this to have too much tomato flavor in it. I was expecting a goulash taste. While I wouldn’t say this is quite to the level of my Alfredo recipe, I was presently surprised to find that this was on par with anything that I had purchased at the store in the past. Like all things, I will most likely modify this the next time I make it. I will update this recipe when I do.
